Carlton Hotel St. Moritz Wins Forbes Travel Guide 2020 Star Award
The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz has been named a Forbes Travel Guide 2020 Star Award Winner. It has received five stars in the Swiss Alps Destination category for the second year in a row. The award follows the news that Forbes Travel Guide named the Carlton Bar & Lobby as one of the world’s 44 best hotel bars in Fall 2019.
"We are delighted that the Carlton has again been awarded the top mark by Forbes Travel Guide," says General Manager Philippe Clarinval. "Winning this great recognition two years in a row is a true testament to our team’s performance. We are very pleased that we continue to meet the high bar set by Forbes.”
The Forbes Travel Guide judges consist of experienced travel professionals who independently visit luxury hotels, restaurants and spas worldwide and rate each based on established criteria. The excellent rating is regarded as a seal of approval around the globe, praising the personal service the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz offers. Each guest has access to a concierge, butler and 24-hour private limousine service, among other exclusive amenities.
The all-suite Carlton Hotel St. Moritz originally opened in 1913 and was completely redesigned in 2007 by renowned Swiss architect and designer Carlo Rampazzi. Today, the hotel is considered one of the most exclusive hotels in Switzerland. The Carlton has succeeded in creating an ambience with historical and modern elements that, in addition to first-class service, leaves guests feeling as if they are in a world of glitz and glamor.
